dalmatian & gingham

Is it bad that winter’s been so long that I’ve forgotten how to wear prints? Now that it’s warmer, I have no idea what to do with myself or how to wear those bright florals I loved a few seasons ago. It’s like the chunky-turtleneck portion of my brain took over, and is now slowly waking up to a world of new possibilities (OK, that might be a bit dramatic but you get the point :P). Does anyone else feel this way?

Anywho, I’ve been easing into the world of prints by starting with black-and-white pieces. Gingham, polka dot, starry, checkered… Staying within the same color family makes mixing prints a little easier and more appropriate for the workplace.

Until next time!

Love the mixture of prints! I get what you mean by the winter wardrobe taking over that portion of your brain… I definitely feel the same!! Thanks to instagram that keeps me inspired on mixing up spring prints… otherwise I wouldn’t know what to do with my Spring wardrobe!
