witchcraft & wintery

Witches are strong characters — beautiful yet terrifying, incredibly enchanting yet equally crazy. They come in wide-brimmed hats, flowing capes, pointy boots, and sometimes a dark crimson lip. Since I can’t actually be one, why not take inspiration from their wardrobe?

I love the visual effect the metallic stripes on the dress create. The slightly ballooned sleeves add just the right amount of volume. I paired it with the pointiest (witchiest?) boots via Isabel Marant, and topped the look off with a few silver accents. If you’re keen to wear a light dress but the freezing temps won’t allow it, try layering a turtleneck underneath (doesn’t have to be black! Cotton-candy pink, charcoal gray, forest green – go with what your heart desires).

Why is almost everything in this outfit by Isabel Marant, you might ask? Let’s just say I may have opened one too many tabs on the Net-a-Porter sale, and then one thing led to another…

Until next time!

Such a cool black outfit. The stripes and boots are standout.

You are killing it in this outfit girl! I am literally obsessed with everything on you in these photos haha! And I totally love the witch inspiration – I remember American Horror Story Coven and how chic some of their outfits were!
