sleeves & cable

It has officially snowed in Boston! There is something very joyous about waking up to discover a sea of white outside your windows. But while it’s beautiful and festive — it’s freezing. And when the temps drop to below zero, getting dressed can — frankly — kind of suck. Last year one of my favorite pairs of boots got utterly soaked from walking in the snow and rain (I got stuck in a slushy storm). Well I’ve learned my lesson and got a pair of real snow boots this time around. They’re slush-proof, super warm, and pretty stylish! I love the peek of the faux fur trim and the bright white piping along the edges.

One of the ways I deal with winter-outfit-claustrophobia (i. e. wearing the same damn parka for three months straight) is by playing with different textures and proportions. The chunky cable knit pattern of the beanie adds interest (and coziness!), while the extra long sleeves of the knit paired with the cropped puffer brings a bit of playfulness to the ensemble.

Love how you played with different lengths. It must be hard to style things in brutal weather, but you nailed it! xx
