’tis the season

I could ramble on about how absolutely crazy it is that December is upon us.

But with all the parties coming up? Ain’t nobody got time for that.

I don’t know about you, but I often opt for staying in over going out (pizza and Netflix — what party can beat that?). So when the wind chill picks up and all I want to do is sip my tea, I need a little extra help from my outfit to put me in the mood. Below are three sparkly, festive looks that I know I’ll be reaching for. So put that Michael Bublé on, and have a browse!

{ 1. The Starry Skater }

Made of star-embroidered mesh and adorned with sparkly birds (I like to think they’re nightingales), this skater dress is the ultimate party number. I love the slightly ruffled collar and the surprise of the sheer back. If anything can make me press pause on Netflix and get my a** to a party, it’s this dress.

{ 2. The Epic Pant }

It’s time to shine — literally. If all else fails, these sequined trousers tune me into party mode straight away. The bottom of the pants swish around delightfully when you walk (and dance!), and the roomy pockets are just the cherry on top. I wore them with a bell-sleeved top and Isabel Marant bauble earrings to make the ensemble extra swooshy and festive. 😉

{ 3. The Disco Dress }

Last but not least, here is a dress that resembles a disco ball (in a subtle way). The fitted turtleneck and subtantial weight of the fabric make it a good party piece for those living in colder weather (just add some tights!). Continuing with the subtle disco ball effect, I wore a pair of metallic ankle boots that are just as comfortable as they are cute.

    I love all three looks, but the sequin pants are my favorite. I never thought of wearing a pair like that and the idea is fun! I also love the playful graphics you added to the photos like the baloon and the gifts.

    *screams* These are all such solid looks! I can’t even decide which one I like best! I’m in the same boat as you, I’m generally staying in when it’s cold outside, but holiday parties are one of my weaknesses cos I LOVE to dress up. I was planning on wearing a fitted maxi skirt until you showed up in those sparkly pants! You may have just swayed my whole outfit plan! Thanks so much for sharing.
