ruffle & sail

Coming to you today with a good ol’ outfit post! Those few transitional weeks from summer to fall can be quite tricky. Here in Boston, it’s cold in the mornings and nights, but warm in the middle of the day. I’ve found this sweater-and-mini combination to be perfect. Still feeling chilly? Chuck on a light trench.

With its ruffle sleeves and soft fabric, this sweater is a fresh, feminine take on the classic cable knit. The lightness of the material makes it easy to layer, perfect for the transitional period. I paired it with a sailor-inspired navy A-line skirt, made of a thick double-serge wool that lends it both warmth and structure. I know both of these pieces will be on rotation for the coming months ahead.
