cornflower & lace

I’ve admired Self-Portrait‘s designs from afar for a long time. The Malaysian-born designer Han Chong is always finding new ways to play with lace — from fresh frocks and graphic jumpsuits, to swoon-worthy bomber jackets .

I was drawn to this dress in particular because the intricate, delicate lace patterns remind me of traditional Chinese paper-cutting. Plus, amongst Self-Portrait’s selection, it is a relatively more wearable piece. I wore it with my trusty white heels (seriously, they go with everything!), and topped the look off with a few silver accents. I’ll probably be wearing this to every graduation/ wedding/ celebratory event imaginable.
