It’s December 13th. December. Time has been ticking away at an unsettling pace. Every store I enter comes with a heavy waft of Christmas tunes, and my inbox has been bombarded with gift guides. Meanwhile, I’m still somewhat recovering from Thanksgiving and haven’t gotten enough of fall. The weather in Boston seems to share my sentiments, content to stay in the high 50s with no sign of winter wonderland.
Well, all the more reason to keep wearing fall sweaters! This silence + noise turtleneck has quickly become one of my favorites. It has just the right amount of chunkiness and the side slits keep it interesting and flattering. The mustard yellow color reminds me of crisp fall leaves, and putting it on makes me feel instantly cozy (it’s amazing how much color can influence your mood, right?).
I paired the sweater with some leather pants to balance out the softness of the knit, and topped the look off with a few gold accents and a pair of lace-up heels. I love the combination of the cozy knit (for blending in at the library) and the airy, vintage-inspired heels (for click-clacking away on wooden dance hall floors).
When having bad-hair/ tired-eye days, simply slip your hair into the turtleneck for a faux-bob effect, and add a pair of sunnies. 😎
These Le Specs sunglasses are a gem. The thickness of the lenses make them feel more substantial than others I have owned, but are overall still comfortably lightweight. The thin gold frame adds a touch of industrial glam that can elevate any outfit.
